Keep older Australians safe in aged care
Send a letter to your MP now!
It’s been a disastrous year for aged care; from the harrowing details emerging from the royal commission into aged care quality and safety, to the Covid-19 pandemic, the delayed vaccine rollout and its enormous impact on residents, their families and aged care workers like you.
The forthcoming Budget is the time the Morrison Government must finally take responsibility for the aged care crisis facing older Australians.
And to make sure it happens, tell your MP: Keep older Australians safe in aged care.
The Morrison Government must address understaffing and heavy workloads that leave aged care workers emotionally and physically exhausted.
The Morrison Government must address insecure jobs that leave aged care workers forced to work two or more jobs just to make ends meet.
It’s not fair older Australians are being rushed to shower, change clothes and finish their meals because aged care workers do not have enough time.
It’s not fair older Australians are left upset by a revolving door of aged care workers because of insecure jobs and high levels of casualisation.
Its’ not fair older Australians are not given the dignity of a conversation in the mornings because aged care workers are rushed caring for so many people.
